A Secret Language Revealed
Follow these simple steps to find your Birth Number and Personality Code:
Step 1. Write down the day of the month you were born, followed by the number of the month itself (as seen in the table below) and finally the year of your birth.
(For example, if you were born on January 12, 1960, you will write down: 12-1-1960. If you were born on December 29, 1978, you will write down: 29-12-1978)
January = 1
February = 2
March = 3
April = 4
May = 5
June = 6
July = 7
August = 8
September = 9
October = 10
November = 11
December = 12
Step 2. Now, add up every number in your birth date, one by one.
In the example above for 12-1-1960 you would make the following calculation:
1 + 2 + 1 + 1 + 9 + 6 + 0 = 20
The sum of your addition, in this case "20", consists of two digits. You need to add the two digits together and find one single number to work with before you continue to the next step.
2 + 0 = 2
The Birth Number of a person born on January 12, 1960 will be "2". Using the example from above for someone born on December 29, 1978, you would proceed in this manner:
2 + 9 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 8 = 39
Add together the "3" and the "9" (of the sum "39") to get one single digit to work with:
3 + 9 = 12
Since you still have two digits, add once again:
1 + 2 = 3
The Birth Number of a person born on December 29, 1978 will be "3"
Step 3. If you follow the above directions and you find, anywhere in the process, that the "total" is an "11" or a "22", you can stop adding the digits together. For example, if the birth date you are working with is December 28, 1978, your calculation looks like this:
2 + 8 + 1 + 2 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 8 = 38
At this point there are still two digits, so add them together:
3 + 8 = 11
You don’t need to continue adding the two digits together because the number you have found is a "Master Number". In Numerology, both the numbers "11" and "22" have special qualities. They are called "Master Numbers".
In the next appendix (Appendix III) you can read more about the general meaning of these Master Numbers, as well as the meanings of the other numbers.
Step 4. You have now found your Birth Number, and if you put it together with your astrological Sun Sign (from Appendix I), you will have identified your own Personality Code!
The first example above (January 12, 1960) indicates that the person is a Capricorn-2.
The second person (December 29, 1978) is a Capricorn-3.
And the third example (December 28, 1978) is of someone with the Personality Code Capricorn-11.
Now figure out your own Personality Code and you are ready to explore the different facets of your own personality in depth! Then give yourself time to check out some of the people who are important in your life, and gain more insight into their personalities as well.
